ECHOCARDIOGRAM
Echocardiography is a diagnostic test that, through high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound), provides information about the shape, size and strength of the heart, the movement and thickness of its walls and the functioning of its valves.
STRESS TEST
A cardiological test that measures the heart's ability to respond to external stress in a controlled clinical setting. The stress response is induced by exercise or by intravenous pharmacological stimulation.
HOLTER
The Holter monitor is a type of ambulatory electrocardiography device, a portable device for cardiac monitoring for at least 24 hours. The most common use of the Holter is for monitoring ECG cardiac activity.
BLOOD PRESSURE MONITOR
It is a test with which it is intended to measure the blood pressure of a patient periodically, outside the medical-hospital context, during a period that can be programmed 24 hours a day.
HEART PACEMAKER
They are used to treat certain types of arrhythmias, as well as heart failure, a condition that occurs when the heart cannot pump enough blood to the body.
CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION
Cardiac catheterization is a procedure in which a thin, flexible tube (catheter) is guided through a blood vessel to the heart to diagnose or treat certain heart conditions, such as blocked arteries or an irregular heartbeat.
